Charts - Disbelief/Belief ... Pro-Humanism/Anti-Humanism
(Top Posts - Philosophy
(FREELOVER) - 050101)
Last
night, I posted a chart regarding disbelief/belief and
the degree to which expression of said views was identified
with.
In a response, a poster mentioned that there was more
to the picture, and I replied I would follow up the original
with something to do with politics ...
In constructing that follow-up, I came to the realization
that a significant aspect of each of our worldviews is lev-
eraged off of two separate yet profoundly related perspec-
tives ...
- - - - - -
1) Disbelief/Belief ...
and
2) Pro-Humanism/Anti-Humanism ...
- - - - - -
As for our individual approaches to life, I ask you, placing
yourself into both charts, and assessing your position as
well as the positions of others in the current day and through-
out history, does this not reveal a relevant and profound
consideration of that which is the reality of being?
Does this not reveal, clearly, the errors in jumping to con-
clusions based merely on disbelief/belief or willingness to
support disbelief/belief, and instead, lend a clarity to the
reality of that which is disbelief/belief -and- pro-humanism/
anti-humanism ...
-and-
reveal clarity as to the value/lack of same as to ...
expressions regarding those positions, as a comprehensive
picture regarding where each of us, and our predecessors,
resides along the continuum of that which is and has been
in this, our one and only *sure* experience/chance to know
and deal with it all?
Think of your perceptions of yourself, of others, of those
historical figures which you're familiar with, and relate how
you/others/historical figures fit into the two charts, and the
meaning and pertinence derivable therefrom ...

Original post, with additions, follows ...
From time-to-time, discussions arise regarding the nuances
of individual disbeliefs and beliefs. As goes without saying,
there are a wide range of types of disbeliefs and beliefs as
well as a range of opinions on how one should or should
not go about expressing those disbeliefs and beliefs.
The following chart is provided as a tool to assist you in
assessing your disbelief/belief position as well as your
comfort zone in the way in which you express/resist
expressing those disbeliefs/beliefs:

I, for example, as a FREELOVER, would be an A100 on
the disbelief/belief chart and an A100 on the pro-humanism/
anti-humanism chart.
Most, in the disbeliever newsgroups, I expect, would be
between a C0 to an A67 on the disbelief/belief chart and,
well, to be perfectly honest, I'm unsure of where most in
the disbeliever newsgroups would reside when it comes
to the pro-humanism/anti-humanism chart, although I hope
most would steer towards the 'A' and 'B' lines ...
Most, in the believer newsgroups, I expect, would be
between an E0 to a C100 on the disbelief/belief chart and,
unfortunately, I doubt many believers would be willing to
venture above the 'C' line on the pro-humanism/anti-human-
ism chart ...
