Love of Verity

Is open-minded search for verity, in a real world, free
of faith and religious dogma, an unwise endeavor by
humankind?

No, it can be wise, caring, considerate, and comple-
mentary to pro-human views, when approached from
the standpoint of searching for and respecting truth
and fulfillment in a natural world of wonder.

Some faithers feel guilty about seeking meaning and
verity apart from religious indoctrination. Why do so
many of faith feel guilty about that and what makes
those folks think doubting myths/delusion justifies a
feeling of guilt?

Do faithers have so little regard for verity that dismis-
sing the truth of doubt is the default mechanism by
which doubt is disposed of, as if doubt is not a natural
part of who and what humans are?

Don't faithers realize that most believers have been
trained/brainwashed into feeling guilty about disbelief?

If you are or ever were a faither -or- if you have ever
been around faithers, you probably can relate to that,
the focused mindset on guilt.

Is faith and guilt the reason for being?

No, the reason for being is to experience life, to enjoy
having sex and experiencing pleasure, to learn and
explore and, for the less fortunate, to spend a large
sum of money trying to validate a belief in faith-based
requirements for immortality.

The chance of immortality by virtue of action/choice
is actually much higher if investments are made in re-
searching means to that end in this dimension, via sci-
entific/medical/genetic/bio-mechanical/computational
advances. Efforts to search for verity in a real world
are much wiser than faith-tripped journeys to ancient
futility from ancient humans who had nary a clue of
their natural place in a natural world.

If we can understand the reality of our natural existence
in a manner matching to intelligence and respect for the
human whole, then that positive focus can free us from
the myths and delusions of our childhood.

The decision is ours to make. The information with which
to make an intelligent, reasonable, respectable, and logical
decision is available for all to consider, but only with an
open mind.

To have an open mind, faith/guilt must be put aside, for
to cling to such things is but to act as if in the mindset of
a vulnerable and immature child, living out a life of mental
slavery to that which was scared into when you were un-
able to defend yourself against such anti-human notions.

It would behoove us to share our knowledge of verity and
the open-minded path to verity, rather than hide it as if we're
too scared or guilt-tripped to share it, for fear of imaginary
beings implanted in us when we were children and knew no
better.

Now, faithers may say so-and-so (aged person) was happy
to be spending their final years going to church, giving the
church their life savings (or a high percentage of it) and per-
petuating their myths (to future generations). Well, it's not
presented in that manner but, when you think about it, isn't
that what faithers are really saying when they try to promote
a "feel good faith", acting as if it's a win-win situation when
in fact, they're misleading and deceiving others about the
complete ramifications of their faith/guilt/delusion?

Honestly, an aging person's best chance for immortality
*if* an aged person is into such things is the natural world
and most people, when honest with themselves (not when
parading their religion out for public consumption) would
take great comfort in a naturalistic theory regarding some
kind of possibility of a pleasant continuance based on
natural law.

After all, there are no gods revealing themselves in any sub-
stantive way in this world (god cants may impress, but really,
god this and that are empty when it comes to substance),
humans invented the things, and we all know that the natural
world is as real as it gets for each of us.

In a natural world is true hope. In a delusionary world, aged
persons are fully aware that their delusions, none of which
paid off in real life, all of which have been based on ancient
myths and superstitions, have practically no chance of a pay-
off.

The only way to free ourselves (humanity) from the insanity
of false/blind faith is to face the truth, swallow the pill, and
(in my view) make that pill a sweet one, not a bitter one.

I haven't mentioned all the natural world life extension tech-
nologies but I assure those of faith, if you want to put your
energy into something worthy and truly hopeful, look to
science and the natural world, 'cause those are humanity's
only true hope, with respect for verity and open-minded
search for that which is possible in a natural world of won-
der.

Faithers may be uncomfortable with oblivion, but don't
make the mistake of making that the *only* option as has
been trained into many of faith by their churches, regard-
ing the consequences of disbelief in faith. Sure, be honest
about the likelihood but be realistic regarding our lack of
complete knowledge of our natural world.

As for our children ...

The young are controlled by, in large part, the parents, so
it's a full agenda with each and every person, young and old,
worthy of *diplomatic* and sensitive discussion of the true
facts of our natural world. Myths/lies/deceit and fear/fright/
threats are *not* the way to deal with children and their/our
place in a natural world.

Families are unique arrangements of cohabitation / co-finan-
cial-dependence / co-emotional dependence / co-genetic-in-
fluences and as such, must be handled in a unique way when
it comes to communication on such issues.

If you know love of verity, that love shall set you free from
delusion, free from faith, free from fear.

I love you all.
