Plight of American Employees

A short while back, the U.S. government, in its inimatable wisdom, granted a tax cut to the American people, with an inordinate amount of the cut going to some of the richest people in human history, the top 1 percent of Americans who benefit to an extraordinary degree due to the labor of American employees.

As a result of that tax cut, for which the overwhelming majority of American workers got little more than a "keep your mouth shut" payoff, the government is going "broke".

In addition, the gulf between those rich beyond comprehension and hardworking American employees continues to widen.

For example, last year S&P performance decreased by 12 percent, CEO remuneration skyrocketed up by 22 percent, and the wages for American employees who skirted layoffs eked up 3-4 percent.

Anyone smell the stench of corporatized America, here? Employees be damned, the rich get richer, and the poor and middle class keep scraping the leavings to try to get the best of the leftovers in a system designed to impart manipulation and control of the many, yielding an increasing stockpile of inordinate wealth and power for the few.

The herbicide, glyphosphate, has been reported to make people sick and damage the environment.

The production of drug crops, since the spraying has begun, has expanded and has spread to neighboring countries.

Origins of God(s) & Goddess(es)

Comparing the evidence that the god(s) & goddess(es) concepts are a result of human 'make believe'

-to-

the dearth of evidence that they are objective assessments of profound contacts with super-beings ...

... the former stands out as the clear logical and rational iteration of the whys and wherefores when it comes to stories / claims about super-beings.

Genetic and evolutionary factors are the underlying motivating reasons within the following, dealing with basic human wants & needs as a result of an evolutionary continuum by which the human brain developed an ...

... intense fear of ultimate unknowns (primarily, death) and an intense yearning to replace those unknowns with something the human brain could relate to in terms of the human experience on earth.

In essence, at some undefined point in our evolutionary history, the following concepts became an inherent part of the human condition that remains with us to this very day ...

1) we know we don't know, for sure, where we came from (we're totally dependent on external explanations for that) and

2) we know we don't know, for sure, where we are going (once again, we're totally dependent on external explanations for that), and

3) we know there is much about our existence that we don't know and perhaps can never know (providing the primary impetus for the world of 'make believe' that treats unknowns as fuel for religions).

All of those played crucial roles in the origins of god(s) and goddess(es) and continue to be a major factor in the perpetuation of religions.
