Link Found for Whales' Transition From Land to Oceans
In
Pakistan, world hot-spot for among other things, preparation

to question muhammad dogma, a major fossil discovery has been
made.
The
fossils, 50 million-year-old bones, display a so-called "missing
link" from creatures which existed as hoofed mammals on
land and the whale family which now thrives in the world's oceans.
Keys to
the transitionary nature of the fossils:
- Ankle
bones like cloven-hoofed mammals.
- Ear
bones that only appear in the whale family.

Permian
Extinction Caused By Giant Rock Up To 37 Miles Wide
The
Permian extinction, 250 million years ago, was the largest extinction
event since life exploded on earth over 500 million years ago.
About 95 percent of life was extinguished by that event.
That
extinction, previously thought to be caused by a collision with
earth of a rock about the same size as that which caused the
extinction of the dinosaurs, has now been upgraded to have been
the result of a giant rock (meteorite) up to 60 kilometers (37
miles) wide. That's 6 times wider than the rock which caused
the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Safer
Airplanes
Steps
under consideration for safer airplanes in America:
- Autopilot
systems linked to terrain warning systems, allowing air traffic
controllers to take over planes and keep them circling in
the air (expensive, would take time to implement, not currently
under FAA consideration)
- Upgrading
to new X-ray baggage scanners (over the next 2 years)
- Face-recognition
software to spot suspects on FBI terrorism lists (costs hundreds
of thousands at each large airport where it's implemented;
the technology is already available)

Bin
Laden Says "Destroying America is My Religious Duty"
With
sixteen references to God as being one with his personal goals,
in a January 1999 Time magazine article, bin Laden foretold
the attacks which have been visited on the USS Cole, 4 American
airliners, New York City, and Washington, DC.
His
fundamentalist Islamic background acts as the core fuel for
his war on the western world.
His
closing statement from the interview:
"Hostility
towards America is a religious duty. We hope to be rewarded
for it by God. To call us Enemy No 1 or 2 does not hurt us.
Osama bin Laden is confident that the Islamic nation will carry
out its duty. I am confident that Muslims will be able to end
the legend of the so-called superpower that is America."
